Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from the mixed race family of South London in England. Her father is Nigerian Swiss while her mother was English. Her family was in the South London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was obtained. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, such as King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with the film Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Then, she played Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a large family in Hamilton, Ontario.
